چکیده

Recently, carbon materials with unique properties, such as high tensile strength and electrical conductivity, have been extensively investigated for the multi-functionalization of concrete. Previous studies mainly focused on improving performance normal-strength concrete using nanomaterials, nanotubes graphene nanoplates. Therefore, this study analyzed effect ultra-high-performance (UHPC) mixed steel fibers, which has an outstanding mechanical performance. In addition, length effects were fibers nanometer, micrometer, millimeter sizes. The influences 120 MPa UHPC investigated, including expanded graphite, a well-known superior conductivity material. Electrical compressive strength, experimentally. As result, tends to decrease concentrations increase, chopped fiber best at 10.5 in terms strength. Since was observed be significantly higher than that other 6.6 times, millimeter-sized would most suitable material This could guide future research carbon-based materials, performances.

Experimental investigation and prediction of compressive strength of ultra- high performance concrete containing supplementary cementitious materials

Ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) has superior mechanical properties and durability to normal strength concrete. However, the high amount of cement, high environmental impact and initial cost are regarded as disadvantages, restricting its wider application. Incorporation of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) in UHPC is an effective way to reduce the amount of cement needed while c...

Electrical and Self-Sensing Properties of Ultra-High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Concrete with Carbon Nanotubes

This study examined the electrical and self-sensing capacities of ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) with and without carbon nanotubes (CNTs). For this, the effects of steel fiber content, orientation, and pore water content on the electrical and piezoresistive properties of UHPFRC without CNTs were first evaluated. Then, the effect of CNT content on the self-sensing capa...

Investigating the Performance Characteristics of Asphaltic Concrete Containing Nano-Silica

Using nano-technology materials in the asphalt pavement industry is new compared with Portland cement concrete. The main objective of this study is to investigate the effects of nano-silica modification on some properties of a penetration grade asphalt cement and a typical asphalt concrete. 60/70 penetration grade bitumen was modified with different percentages of nano-silica (i.e. 1, 3 and 5%,...

Ultra High Performance Self Compacting Concrete

Experiences in the development of Ultra High Performance Concrete found a very high flowability in concrete with low water powder ratio. Because of the high viscosity of the cement paste, compaction was necessary. To improve the compaction characteristics of the concrete the idea of adding coarse aggregate was developed. The first tests showed a good workability of the fresh concrete and a good...
